FLYING AWAY WITH HER

Flowers reborn on a sunny wednesday afternoon.
Cherry blossom beauties under the blue sky.
And those roses, carmine red roses.
Deep in my heart they remain.

And, above all, that beloved Silver Screen,
a faithful lover called Cinema.
Reminding me of its old fashioned charm.

The Technicolor, the Vista-Vision,
the old Paramount studio lot.
The non diagestic sound, the violins.
All squeezed into one last image.
A Bird and a Lady.

All of it, now, orchestrating the ballet of my heartbeats.

A last kiss and the red curtains close.

THE END

Roll credits.

Matin de printemps.
Vent du Sud
Chaleur controlée.

Une mélodie ritmée et ritmique.
C'est "à cause des garçons",
Dit-elle.

Victimes de la Mode.
Victimes de l'Amour.
Victimes de la Dance.

I WANT MY MTV

"You stare into my eyes each night at your devotions and my sense of time becomes your own, a thousand sofa-sunken evenings fused to one, lit by a mesmer fire of crackling cellophane irradiance.

You sit at night there on the couch beside your partner, yet have only eyes for me.

You listen to my voice in rapt attention, yet grow bored or easily distracted when your loved one speaks.

And when at last you part indifferent to each other, who will you resort to in those lonely, post conjugal evenings if not me?

I am the only pure and true relationship that you will ever know."

Alan Moore on the power of television in "Light of Thy Countenance"

1000 DREAMS TOO MANY

An empty staircase.
No lights, no sound.
Skin deep silence.

A perfume, to guide my sins.
A whisper, to turn me on.
A mirror, to swallow my pride.

Dark limitless fantasies.
Exacerbated by fear.

"Handle with care" he said
"Watch the slippery floor" she answered back.

Dreaming of you.
You, always you.

Meaningless dreams.
Meaningless you.

LA SINDROME DI STENDAHL

Click on the above picture to watch the video

The Stendahl syndrome, Stendhal's syndrome, Hyperkulturemia, or Florence syndrome, is a psychosomatic illness that causes rapid heartbeat, dizziness, confusion and even hallucinations when an individual is exposed to art, usually when the art is particularly 'beautiful' or a large amount of art is in a single place. The term can also be used to describe a similar reaction to a surfeit of choice in other circumstances, e.g. when confronted with immense beauty in the natural world.

HER NAME'S CAMILLA RHODES

Cowboy: When you see the girl in the picture that was shown to you earlier today, you will say, "this is the girl". The rest of the cast can stay, that's up to you. But that lead girl is "not" up to you. Now you will see me one more time, if you do good. You will see me, two more times, if you do bad. Good night.
